Easter holidays. Our plan was perfect. Two weeks in Italy with grandparents. A week in Poland with my mom. And maybe a long weekend at my sister’s in Denmark. But no. COVID-19. Lockdown is difficult if you live in the same city. But in our case, with at least seven hundred kilometers away from the first close relative, the situation is particularly bad.

Monday, call the grandparents in Milan. Tuesday, call the aunts in Milan. Wednesday, call Szczecin’s aunt. Thursday, call my sister in Vordingborg. Friday, call the granny in Międzyrzecz. Wait! Saturday, who were we supposed to call on Saturday ….?

And the connection … poor connection, the user is busy, in another call, try later…

And the grandparents, “you never stay in touch …!”, “Ah so yesterday you called the other grandmother but not me …?”. To ‘cut the long story short’, as Tony Hadley sang in the 80s, being an expat family is really problematic. Sharing everyday’s life with our families is a problem we face every day, during a pandemic outbreak, as you can imagine, it’s way WORST. Practically every day we receive the request like: send me the photo, maybe you can make a short video, what have the children been doing over the weekend…?

And we try … We send a photo on Thursday. The video on Friday. But it is the bites that tell little, that cannot tell a story, they are moments that not last. And that’s why when I was contacted by Julia to test and review their application I said – that’s the ticket!

I choose very carefully when it comes to representing brands, giving my personal voice and spreading the news, actions, recommendations, advice, or preparing product reviews.

The idea and the technical part of this lovely project is super easy. The application is available on all Android and Apple devices. You can download it on you mobile, tablet or a computer – it works perfectly and has extraordinarily user friendly interface. 

Steps are really trouble-free:

1. Download NEVEO APP – its for free!

2. Create your account – just a few basic info

3. Add your family members if you want some collective help – not mandatory

4. Post pictures and add captions – super fast and painless

Every last day of each month, NEVEO TEAM takes care of all the rest: the layout, the printing and postal shipping to your parents’, grandparents’ or friends’ home. 

There is a variety of options. You can add contributors for example that I find really useful and fun!

The maximum number of pictures per journal depends on the subscription choice (up to 50, 100 or 180 pictures per month). You can add up to 50 pictures, but there is no obligation to have 50 pictures in every journal. There are 3 pictures with their captions on each page of the journal and the total number of pages is automatically adapted!

After completing the journal, you do not have anything else to do.  It’s NEVEO that takes care of all the rest: they set all up with a lovely layout, print it and ship by post to a person you chose as a recipient.
